As I am writing this message, I am thinking of the good memories of the Feast of Guadalupe. I thank all the volunteers, sponsors, musicians, Guadalupanos, and all who were committed to a have a successful celebration. I am sure that joy, devotion and confidence were present every day of the month that we dedicated to our Lady of Guadalupe. I am sure that having the Blessed Sacrament before our daily Mass, we experienced new hope to see life in different way, to bless others as we encourage them to have confidence in the midst of the pandemic. Every day we pray for you and for the end of this pandemic. Now, we prepare ourselves to celebrate Jesus’ birthday! We modify the way that we celebrate the posadas. We will be on the streets some days before Christmas, praying, singing, and asking for shelter for Mary and Joseph as we do during the posadas. Parishioners and neighbors will remain in their houses, we will make some stops with our float to pray, ask for posada and bless the families. The important thing is to focus on Jesus, the baby who is coming. I would like that everybody in our parish is ready to embrace the baby with good deeds, words and actions wherever we are. As a Salesian Family of Saint Mary’s, please have a blessed time, I hope to see you these days either during our procession in the neighborhood or in Mass to share the experience of the shepherds after hearing the Angel’s song of Gloria.
