We begin the New Year with Advent, after having celebrated the Feast of Christ the King. We cannot lose the horizon of our reason for being in this world, as the Gospel tells us, "that the concerns of this life do not hinder our minds". The Kingdom of God will come at any moment and we have to be prepared, it is time to fix our lives, it is time to change our priorities. It is time to approach and bring our families closer to the Grace of God, to the Sacraments that give us back the Sanctifying Grace (confession and communion). The signs of the times show us that in any moment the time of mercy ends and the Judgment will come. He tells us to do a lot of prayer and penance continually in preparation for that day. Saint Paul says, “God wants us to be blameless in holiness and for this we must please God with our way of living following the teachings of Sacred Scripture. God bless us all and happy beginning of Advent in preparation for Christmas. Fr. Marco
