Todos nosotros de una manera u ota somos pecadores o nos hemos alejada de la gracia de Dios por alguna circunstancia de nuestra vida, sin embargo, todos somos susceptibles de retornar al camino del Señor y esto a la vez puede generar envidias, rechazo o comentarios de aquellos que nos vieron o conocieron nuestros malos pasos. Lo cierto es que la liturgia de hoy nos confronta con la posibilidad de ser tocados por la gracia de Dios para convertirnos en verdaderos profetas y evangelizadores de la Buena Nueva del Señor. Dice un dicho popular “Dios escribe derecho en renglones torcidos” y "El se vale de lo humilde de este mundo para hacer su obra", solo necesitamos estar disponibles al Espíritu Santo y haber hecho con alegría y voluntad el proceso de conversión necesario para ser hombres y mujeres creíbles a aquellos que nos oigan al momento de anunciar la palabra de Dios. All of us in one way or another are sinners. We have strayed from God's grace due to some circumstance in our life. However, we are all susceptible to returning to the Lord's way and this in turn can generate envy, rejection or comments, of those who saw us or knew our bad steps. The truth is that today's liturgy confronts us with the possibility of being touched by God's grace to become true prophets and evangelizers of the Good News of the Lord. A popular saying says, "God writes straight in crooked lines". He uses those who are humble of this world to do his work. We only need to be available to the Holy Spirit and to joyfully and willingly carry out the necessary conversion process. Then we will be credible men and women to those who hear us when we announce the word of God. May the Lord transform our hearts and make us true disciples and missionaries of God's love. La liturgia de la palabra nos confronta nuevamente. Jesús nos hace una pregunta clara y concisa, ¿QUIEN ES EL PARA TI? quizá podríamos dar una cantidad de respuestas muy válidas y veraces, sin embargo, hay dos aspectos fundamentales que no podemos olvidar: 1. que él es el mesías es decir el Hijo de Dios y que solo a través de él podemos llegar al Padre y 2. que quien quiera seguirlo tendrá que estar dispuesto a negarse a sí mismo, a renunciar incluso a su propia vida y a aceptar el sacrificio como camino de realización de la voluntad del Padre. Seguramente desde nuestra naturaleza, ninguno estamos dispuestos al sufrimiento, pero en este mundo lleno de maldad, pecado y corrupción, la certeza es que si tengamos que hacerlo, si queremos mantenernos bajo los principios de Jesús y su evangelio a la vez que se hace ardua y difícil la lucha contra ese SATANAS del que habla el Evangelio de hoy que nos impulsa a pensar no como piensa Dios sino, como pensamos los hombres que lo único que queremos es disfrutar placenteramente los beneficios de este mundo sin ningún tipo de sacrificio o sufrimiento. The liturgy of the word confronts us again. Jesus asks us a clear and concise question, WHO IS HE FOR YOU? Perhaps we could give a number of very valid and truthful answers. However, we cannot forget two fundamental aspects. One - He is the Messiah. The Son of God and that only through him can we reach the Father. Two - that whoever wants to follow him will have to be willing to deny himself, to renounce even his own life and to accept sacrifice as a way of fulfilling the will of the Father. Surely, because our nature, none of us is willing to suffer. However, in this world full of evil, sin and corruption, the certainty is that if we want to stay with the principles of Jesus and his gospel and at the same time, it may become challenging. It is difficult to fight against that SATAN of which today's Gospel speaks. It prompts us to think not as God thinks, but as we, humans think that all we want is to enjoy pleasantly the benefits of this world without any type of sacrifice or suffering.
